Our Story
We first crossed paths on Hita’s very first wilderness canoe camping trip in the summer of 2019, a trip she joined with zero portaging or backcountry experience. Gabriel had been invited by a friend and showed up as the seasoned camper of the group, and somewhere between the paddling and the campfire chats, our story quietly began. What we thought would be a one-time adventure has since become an annual tradition, now happily shared with our dog Azrael. Our cat Lupa, however, continues to supervise from the safety of the city, since we value our lives far too much to bring her along.
